Safrigas's cryogenic storage tanks are built with double–wall construction. The inner tank is stainless steel with an outer tank of carbon steel. All welds on the tank and its associated piping are 100% radiographed and comply with American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) standards. The tanks insulation will maintain an internal temperature of approximately -260° F to ensure the LNG remains in the liquid phase.

Safrigas's LNG ISO containers are ideal for either storage or transportation of LNG. The containers meet rigid manufacturing and testing regulations, require minimal maintenance and are designed to provide the largest payloads possible. Our excellent vacuum qualities and super insulation reduce vaporization rates resulting in less "lost" product. Extended hold times also result in lower storage cost. Lastly, our design provides easy access to controls and piping providing the customer the convenience he or she deserves.
Safrigas offers 20' and 40' cryogenic ISO containers for both LNG and industrial gases in compliance with IMDGC, ISO-1496-3, ISO 42T7, IMDG75.

Field Erected LNG Tanks
Certain tank configurations are both too large and complex to ship as completed units. Tanks in this category are designed and manufactured in the workshop environment and then shipped to the field as "kits" for field erection. Such erections are typically handled by a specialized subcontactor with expertise in such construction.
Large-Scale Flat-Bottom Tanks
Each flat-bottom LNG storage tank is unique and tailored to an individual customer's requirements. A flat-bottom storage tank is always part of a larger installation. These cryogenic tanks are designed with a double-wall construction using perlite thermal insulation. The tanks segments are pre-manufactured by our own factory and field erected at the customer site.
