Ancillary
We also provide Quick Release Hooks. These devices provide additional automation and safety to the ship mooring and line releasing process.
Design of the hook release mechanism was achieved using 3D finite analysis and each hook is tested to ensure it will unhook 100% of the time when subjected to over 1.25 times its desire rating. The operating force for the mechanism under full load is less than 170N. The QRH can be provided for both Hazardous and Non-Hazardous locations. The hazardous location models use a spark proof, insulated design. The capstan's electrical components comply with ATEX EEx d II BT4 criteria.
